Professor Arthur Hunt presents...
The Richest Cincinantian Ever...
This hunt takes place in beautiful Spring Grove Cemetery where a multitude of Cincinnati ’s most illustrious and accomplished citizens lie buried. The list runs from the founders of the Cincinnati Zoo, the Cincinnati Art Museum, department stores, grocery chains, and Fortune 500 companies to Civil War generals, Congressmen, governors, mayors, sports stars, and famous artists.

So, it should not come as a surprise that also within these grounds lies the richest Cincinnatian that ever lived. In fact when he was alive, he was considered the 2nd richest man in the entire country! So if you choose this hunt, you’ll find out who he was and you'll perhaps be even more surprised to learn what he did with his millions!

(IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be aware no pets are allowed in Spring Grove so sorry, Fido can't join in)

Duration is about 45 minutes mimium to 1:15, depending on your group. Earliest start time is 8 am when cemetery's gates open. Latest start time is 4:30 pm (gates closes at 6:00 so must leave by then!) except from May 1 ~ Aug 31 gate closes at 8pm so may start as late as 6:15 during the summer.
Travel Note & Parking
Take I-75 to Exit 6. If coming from KY or Downtown, turn left at the end of the ramp.  Fir from the north, turn right. Go past the McDonald's and Gold Star Child and turn left at  Spring Grove Avenue - you will see the big blue Honda dealership sign on the corner. Proceed down Spring Grove Avenue past a Frisch's. Entrance is on the right shortly after that.

The visitor parking lot is to the right immediately after entering. You can park there or  also go through the stone tunnel you see straight ahead after entering, take a right or go straight a little beyond the intersection and park on the side of the road. If you do park on the side of the road,  please do NOT park with your wheels in the grass.
Are available at the cemetery office which is the modern looking building you saw on your right when you first came in.
Nearby Restaurants
Go left out of the cemetery and there will be a Frisch's on your left right away. Continue up to the Mitchell Ave intersection and if you go right you will see a Gold Star Chili and a McDonald's..Go straight thru the intersection and there is a Rally's.
Although nearly all flat, you will be pushing over lawn like grass so a stroller a little sturdier than a lightweight umbrellas type stroller would be better. There is a small rise or hill at Clue 5.
Start Point
Go to the main entrance off Spring Grove Avenue. The hunt starts at the large intersection just on on the other side of the stone tunnel you see straight ahead when you first enter the cemetery.  See "Parking" as you have two choices.
